Chris is the founder of the SKG Capital family office and has a well-earned reputation for being able to quickly identify opportunities that can be rapidly completed within a short timeframe to the benefit of all parties. He is responsible for leading all deal negotiation, strategy and execution of investments for SKG. Chris has extensive M&A experience across a broad spectrum from investment banking, to turnaround and special situation asset management. Combined with a strong corporate finance career Chris is a highly effective board leader who drives himself and his team with exceptional agility and acumen.

Neil has operated in the retail sector for over 25 years, within the UK, Europe and Asia, and now brings this unique depth and breadth of experience to SKG as an equity partner.  A highly experienced senior executive, Neil has most recently been Managing Director of a £200m+ retail business, with both a strong high street and online presence.  From a 270 strong retail store chain with an annual turnover of £1.2bn, to consulting with start-ups, he has an incredible wealth of both experience and ability to adapt his skills and knowledge to the case at hand. A strong communicator with excellent leadership skills and brilliant big-picture thinking, Neil has first-class business acumen and drives hard for swift, successful results with our partner businesses.

Ross has been working with SKG Capital for over a decade and is instrumental in leading the restructuring of companies and monetising of assets to ensure best value is achieved. He has worked across a multitude of retailers and businesses around the world including UK, Europe, Brazil, Sri Lanka and Russia. His sector experience within retail is extensive, ranging from food and beverage, fashion, homewares, entertainment and general merchandise. He has also consulted on other global projects focused on process improvements and profit maximization with partners such as PWC as well as administrators and insolvency businesses. Ross brings a wealth of experience and a range of skills to SKG Capital which are invaluable.

Most recently the UK Finance Director of a £300m turnover business, Alan has a consistent track record of delivering results in fast-paced & high-pressured retail environments in both PLC and private equity businesses. An insightful & analytical thinker able to translate strategic ideas into tangible actions. Alan is a strong communicator with excellent coaching and leadership skills who thrives in our highly agile SKG environment. He supports our efforts across a wide variety of SKG interests and is a highly valued advisor to the organisations we partner with.

 

 

Most recently a lead consultant working with a private equity house on a variety of retail projects including turnaround success stories. A dynamic business leader with excellent commercial acumen across a variety of retail environments and channels including BHS, Mothercare, Debenhams, The Co-Op & Laura Ashley. Simon takes a professional, hands-on approach to retail operations with an excellent understanding of both customer facing and B2B propositions. He consistently delivers exceptional results that add tangible value to the bottom line. With an entrepreneurial mind-set, he is tenacious, diligent and an excellent fit with our SKG culture and commitment to success.

Jon has an extraordinary breadth and depth of experience in a variety of roles and industries. He works as a business adviser, corporate financier, finance and restructuring lawyer, non-exec director and is also an investor. One of his key strengths is the ability to develop unique, creative and highly efficient solutions to business challenges. Jon’s expertise comes from a deep understanding of end-to-end transactions, working with companies and business owners alongside lenders, investors and family offices for best outcomes. This diversity of experience in so many sectors makes him a valuable asset and a pivotal member of our SKG team.
